The Dream Center houses internal and outside programming that is specifically designed for catalytic change in our area. Dream Center Programming is ALWAYS FREE and can be enrolled in via our website. Only our current classes are available for online registration. Classes are generally available for online registration TWO TO THREE WEEKS before they begin.
To sign up for a class, please fill out the adjacent form. We only respond if the class is full. Please consider yourself confirmed if you do not receive a response. Please note, day of classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Learn the step by step of creating a pitch deck for your business or project using Google slides. Course will have three sessions covering (1) concepts and ideas; (2) elements: texts and images; and (3) building and execution.

POETRY FOR SERVICE WORKSHOP SERIES POSTPONED

The Poetry for Service workshop series is a social justice and spoken word poetry experience where participants will be able to foster community, have reflective discussion, and learn the craft of spoken word as a means of self-expression and a tool for restoration. Participants will create and share original spoken word pieces and present a collection of their work by the end of each session.
BUSINESS FINANCES 1: GETTING STARTED POSTPONED

Financial management can be the most intimidating part of running a business. The goal of this course is to reveal that it need not be.Intended for entrepreneurs unfamiliar with business financial management, Business Finances 1 introduces its key terms and concepts in everyday language.
During this course, you will:
•Develop an understanding of basic business financial terms, such as profit, cash flow,
and gross margin
•Work with basic financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash
•Define the common business expenses at both the startup and operating stages
•Calculate gross margins, breakeven points, and profit goals using a case study business.
This course is the fourth module in the NYC Department of Small Business Services’ (SBS) five-course Introduction to Entrepreneurship series. If you are a pre-startup, we recommend that you complete the first three modules in this series –“First Step to Starting a Business,” “Creating a Business Idea that Works,” and “Building Your Business Operations” –before taking this course.
