The Harlem Renaissance was marked by an outpouring of art, music and literature birthed out of the era. Issues such as migration to new cities, political agendas advocating racial equality, and The Spanish Flu simmered and brewed to create the delicious stew of Black excellence we still study to this day.
As the saying goes, “History repeats itself . . .”
The Dream Center is the nerve center of Harlem’s creative dreams where imagination is nurtured and we are in the Harlem Resurgence right now!
Let’s forge a moment for creatives to connect, create, and construct the masterpieces of the future by utilizing and processing the trauma of our past. This is a celebration of the ways creativity can help us speak truth, speak power, speak life, and speakeasy through tumultuous times. This weekend is an invitation to participate in ideating dreams, sharing stories and taking action. We invite all of Harlem to . . . THE RESURGENCE.

MOVERS & MAKERS + VIRTUAL DANCE PARTY

In person programs that provide movement to get the brain going and creativity to keep the mind calm. Classes include crafting and yoga/meditation. Then we’ll have fun at a day party with a DJ playing the hits live from The Dream Center.
