  • Learn about Shakespeare’s language & plays, classical theater & theatrical arts

  • Perform in a mid-program performance on stage

  • Write, film, star! Collaborate in creating an original production

  • Youth produce their own film festival as a finale event

WHAT IS HTSI?

Harlem Teen Shakespeare Intensive (HTSI) at The Dream Center is a free program held in conjunction with Classical Theatre of Harlem that gives young dreamers an opportunity to learn about the performing arts and create original works.

This free performing arts program is open to youth 8 to 18 years old. Participants will learn about theater, acting and movement from professional actors, filmmakers and other industry pros, then collaborate on their own productions.

Class sessions meet weekday afternoons on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer. This program is free.
